Middle of the lake.

Margaret Newcomb: Beaufort , NC, United States; My dear wife Holly and I have relocated to the east coast to help care for my mother. In need of our own home, we found a little place in what the locals call “Down East”, located at the southern most end of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Here are some scenes of the area...enjoy! I was born on Whidbey Island, WA. The 'Island-ness' had a profound affect on my soul and the colors of the surrounding waters had an even greater affect on my art. I recently discovered an ancient medium called Encaustic, which is done with a hot wax process. It is extremely forgiving and a joy to work with because there are so many different things that can be done with it. It is a medium of constant change and discovery.
